Online Tax Payments and Information

Tax bills are mailed July 1 (summer) and December 1 (winter). 


If you don’t receive yours within 2 weeks, contact our Treasurer for another copy. 

Taxes are due regardless if bill is received or not. 


Tax due dates are:

  • September 14 (summer)
  • February 14 (winter)


If the 14th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, taxes are due the next business day.


You can pay your Denver Township taxes online at www.govpaynow.com

Note that the merchant charges a 3% fee for this service.

You must put in your property parcel number with the hyphens (ex: 09-xx-xxx-xxx) and your phone number when entering your information.


Tax Receipts

To receive a tax payment receipt, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your tax payment; otherwise your cancelled check will serve as your receipt.


Payments

Summer Taxes: You can pay between July 1 and February 28. 

(Pay before September 14 to avoid late fees.)


Winter Taxes: You can payment between December 1 and February 28. 

(Pay before February 14th to avoid late fees.)


After March 1, all unpaid taxes go to the Newaygo County Treasurer’s office as delinquent. Only remaining balances will incur delinquent interest.


Please have exact change for payments when paying in cash.


NSF Checks

There is a $25.00 fee for any check returned to the Township unpaid.


Postmark

Postmarks are not accepted for tax payments. Please allow three weeks for mail delivery to meet the deadline dates.


Address Changes on Tax Bills

Contact the Newaygo County Equalization Department at 231-689-7244 to make address changes.


Name Changes on Tax Bills

Contact the Register of Deeds at 231-689-7246 for any name changes.


Delinquent Taxes

Taxes not paid by March 1 will be turned into the Newaygo County Treasurer office as delinquent.


To pay delinquent taxes you must contact the Newaygo County Treasurer office at 

231-689-7230.
